How Hadi Turned Broadstreet RFC’s Website Brief Into Its Digital Backbone

Broadstreet RFC came to The Herd asking for a modern marketing website. The goal was simple: tidy up the club’s online presence and make life easier for supporters trying to find information.

What they now have is a full stack digital platform that sits at the heart of how the club runs. It powers bookings, payments, memberships, events, staff operations and physiotherapy, all in one place.

From website upgrade to working platform

The starting brief looked familiar. Broadstreet needed core pages, fixtures and results, junior and team information, sponsor space, venue hire, membership details and contact information. The Herd also lined up SEO, content migration, analytics, social links, training and hosting support.

Discovery opened up a bigger opportunity. Behind the scenes, bookings and payments were scattered across emails, phone calls and spreadsheets. Event lists were printed and checked by hand. Membership and customer records were fragmented and time consuming to manage.

Instead of just improving the front end, The Herd helped Broadstreet rethink the whole digital backbone. We designed and built a custom full stack platform so the public site and internal tools work together as a single system.

One joined up experience for supporters

For supporters and customers, the platform creates a clear, simple journey. They can:

  • Book clubhouse rooms and restaurant tables

  • Buy tickets for matches and events

  • Book physiotherapy sessions

  • Purchase memberships, packages and gift cards

Everything runs through a secure payments layer. That cuts out manual admin, reduces errors and gives staff live visibility of what is happening across the club. Membership and gift cards are fully online, with automatic account creation and clean data flowing straight into the system.

Customers also have self service accounts. They can log in, view bookings and invoices and cancel appointments where appropriate. This reduces back and forth for staff and gives supporters a smoother, more professional experience.

Better tools for staff and events

On the inside, a central staff portal brings bookings, events, payments and customer records together. Staff can issue invoices, track balances and take bookings by phone, sending payment links directly from the system. One integrated platform replaces a patchwork of tools and spreadsheets.

Events now run on a ticketing and scanning setup with online purchase and QR codes at the door. Guests arrive with scannable tickets, door teams check them in quickly and the club collects attendance data it can use to shape future events.

A clinic system built into the club platform

The project also uncovered that Broadstreet’s physiotherapy services were operating like a separate business, with their own clinical and compliance needs.

To support this properly, The Herd built a dedicated clinic management layer inside the platform. It covers patient records, treatment notes, progress tracking, appointment scheduling, staff rotas and secure document handling. The club now has the power of a standalone clinic system, integrated with the rest of its digital backbone.

Secure, compliant and ready for the future

With bookings, payments and patient data in one place, security and compliance had to be strong. The Herd implemented two factor authentication for staff and GDPR tools so customer data can be exported or deleted on request. This helps Broadstreet meet its responsibilities and build trust with its community.

Marketing tools sit on top of the operational layer. The club can send targeted campaigns based on real customer and booking data, promoting fixtures, events and offers to the right people at the right time.

From simple brief to long term asset

Broadstreet RFC started with a straightforward request for a better website. Working with The Herd, that idea grew into a multi system digital backbone that now runs:

  • A custom marketing website

  • Online bookings and card payments

  • Ticketing with QR codes and door scanning

  • Online membership and gift card sales

  • A central staff operations portal

  • A complete physiotherapy clinic system

  • Customer self service accounts

  • Security, GDPR and marketing tooling

In practice, this means online sales, bookings, payments, ticketing, membership, staff operations, customer accounts and physiotherapy all live inside one integrated platform. A simple website brief has become a long term digital asset for Broadstreet RFC, its members and its community.
